Terms of Service

Last updated: October 1, 2026

By using the InOrOut mobile application, you agree to the following terms.

Acceptable Use

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this service
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must not use the service for illegal or harmful purposes
  • You must not attempt to access other users’ accounts or data

Accounts

You may create an account using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you create — chat messages, events, group names, Forum posts, poll questions and answers, and images you upload such as your profile picture, poll images, and a team’s profile image or Discover banner. By posting content, you grant us a license to store and display it to other group members as needed for the service.

If you delete your account, what you created for a team or group stays with it, without your name — events, activity plannings, polls with their questions and images, announcements, calendar subscriptions, prize draws, the team’s own images and the Forum posts members could already read — and this license continues for that content. Your chat messages, poll answers and votes, and your profile picture are deleted with your account.

You are responsible for what you post. You must have the right to upload any image you add, and you must not post content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Reporting and Moderation

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, threatening or sexually explicit, and harassment of other members, is not allowed anywhere in the service. We may remove it, and suspend or remove the account behind it, without notice.

Members can report chat messages, Forum posts, another member’s name or profile picture, and a public team’s profile. Reports go to the team’s admins and, where appropriate, to us. A report about the safety of a child is decided by us, never by the team’s admins alone.

We have no tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Our standards against it, what we do when we learn of it and how to reach our child safety contact are published in our Child Safety Standards.

Any member can block another member. When you block someone, you no longer see their chat messages or Forum posts in any team or group you share, and you get no notifications about their messages. They are not told, and you can undo it under Profile → Security → Blocked users. Blocking someone does not remove them from the team; a team’s admins can separately remove and block a member from the team.

We may remove content that breaks these terms. When we remove a Forum post it stays removed: the team’s own admins cannot put it back, so that a team cannot reverse a decision we have made. Admins remain free to manage their board otherwise, including restoring posts they removed themselves.

When content is reported we keep a copy of it as it stood at the time of the report, so the report can still be judged if the content is deleted afterwards. A reporter who deletes their account takes their own report with them. A report about someone who deletes their account stays, without their name, for a limited time, and a team’s block against them stays too, so that signing up again does not undo it. How long those copies are kept is described in the Privacy Policy.

Automatic Translation

Where a team’s plan includes it, content written by members may be translated automatically for readers in other languages. Machine translation is provided as-is and can be inaccurate. The author’s original text stays available, and a translation is never the authoritative version.

Prize Draws

Prize draws are created and run by a team’s own admins. We provide the drawing tool only. We are not the promoter of any draw, we do not supply, fund, or deliver any prize, and we are not responsible for how a team selects, announces, or honours its winners. Any dispute about a draw or its prize is between you and the team that ran it.

Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans and Coach Pass subscriptions are bought through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically until you cancel them in the store. Prices are shown in the store before you buy. Refunds are handled by the store under its own rules; we cannot issue them ourselves. When a plan lapses, the team and its data stay, but the features the plan unlocked stop working as described on the plans page.

Managed Members and Guests

A team admin may add a member who has no account, or record guests a member brings. By doing so the admin confirms they have that person’s permission, and must remove the entry when asked. The person can also ask us directly through the Support page.

Calendar Feeds

A team admin may import events from an online calendar feed. The admin is responsible for having the right to share that feed’s content with the team. Imported entries remain the feed publisher’s content, and we only display them.

Signing In From Another Device and Check-In

Approving a QR sign-in from your phone gives that device full access to your account. Only approve requests you started yourself. At events, a team’s admins may record who arrived using the check-in tools; that record is the team’s attendance data and is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Provider

The service is provided by Screaming in Digital, Skien, Norway. The company’s address and contact details are on the Legal Notice page.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are settled by the Norwegian courts, without limiting any rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app’s profile settings.

Limitation of Liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranty. We are not liable for missed events, scheduling errors, or any damages arising from use of the service.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
